Cate established LUCA Design, after a life long career working in the Design Industry including Commercial Interiors and Residential Architectural Design.
Initial studies in Architecture providing a generous knowledge in space & proportion, then specialising in Interiors. Combine this together with first hand experience in Auckland and Christchurch, successfully designing and building many new homes and constantly renovating others.
LUCA Design Studio ensures your home feels effortless by designing in a style that will endure the test of time.
This comes about through a carefully curated mix - respecting the old by showcasing & preserving any heritage or vintage elements, both Architectural or cherished collectables, while celebrating & embracing the addition of new, contemporary design styles & pieces.

I have a thoughtful and layered approach to my work, bringing together a balanced juxtaposition of styles. Mixing old & new, patterns, textures & colour to give a finished feeling of relaxed luxury and a comfortable sophistication throughout.
